Family members of the late author, Zoleka Mandela, have announced plans for her funeral service. An official funeral plan was shared on the deceased social media page on Wednesday, September 27.
According to the statement, a prayer session would be held at the Mandela family home in Soweto on Wednesday from 6 pm.
Followed by a memorial service which will be held on Thursday, September 28 at 3 pm, also at the Mandela family home. The funeral is to take place at Bryanston Methodist Church on Friday. Tributes to Zoleka continue to pour in on social media.
Zoleka, who was the granddaughter of struggle stalwarts Nelson and Winnie Mandela, is remembered for her resilient spirit.
“I’m still in disbelief and haven’t been myself since I heard the news, I was hopeful. 😭💔 God’s will and time. My prayer goes out to your children and loved ones” wrote Mothibi Tshego.
