K O, Papi Cooper and uncle waffles who were nominated for Best International Act award at the Bet Awards have lost to Nigerian Burna boy.
Nigerian afro beat star burna Boy worn away with the Best International Act award at the Bet Awards on Sunday night, beating Mzansi’s K.O, Papi Cooper and Uncle Waffles .

Despite not winning, uncle waffles took to Instagram to congratulate Burna Boy after the award show. “Thank you so much for all the support and all the love and congratulations to Burna Boy,” said Waffles on one of her Instagram stories.
Artists nominated in the same category include the UK’s Ella Mai and Stormzy, L7nnon from Brazil and France’s Tiakola.
South African Pabi Cooper who also attended the awards ceremony lost the category. She also shared on her Instagram some captured moments on the red carpet with K.O.
“Aww, my babies we didn’t win but God’s got us, always. Thank you for your continued support. I see yall, love yall,” Papi Cooper wrote
After the ceremony, Papi Cooper, K.O and Uncle Waffles were honoured at a BET private penthouse afterparty hosted by Michael Blackson and Dj Fredy Muks.
Meanwhile, K. O bagged the highest number of nominations at this year’s Metro FM Music Awards but returned home with zero wins,
The incident left many surprised as they were convinced that his hit single, Sete did massive numbers.

The BET Awards held on Sunday 25th June in Los Angeles and was themed Hip Hop 50, as the genre is celebrates its 50th year of existence.
Beyonce was the joint winner of the Album of the Year category together with R&B singer SZA.
