The Television actress, Amanda Du Pont recently opened a case against her ex-lover and musician Jub Jub, accusing him of rape and attempted murder.
In December 2021, Jub Jub’s ex-girlfriend Amanda Du-Pont released a 17-minute video on social media alleging that Maarohanye allegedly raped her several times during their two-year relationship.

The actress explained that she had been scared to leave him or tell anyone about the abuse because she was afraid of what Jub Jub could do to her.
Contrary to what Jub Jub said about their relationship, he claimed that Amanda Du Pont left him after she saw a picture of him with Kelly Khumalo. Amanda revealed in the video that she left Jub Jub after he attacked and strangled her.
after sharing with the world her traumatic side of the story, Amanda received support from family and millions of others.
However, as days pass, more is being unraveled as sometimes things may go out of hand.
Just like the case of Lady Zamar who has received harsh criticisms and trolls from South Africans for speaking up after she opened a case against singer, Sjava for rape and assault.
Years later, South Africans who re-visited the allegations she made against her ex-lover, Sjava, began to vent out anger on Zamar, tagging her a liar after the case was dropped in court due to lack of evidence. The allegations however dented Sjava’s career and almost destroyed him.
While Amanda Du Pont’s rape case is still ongoing, some social media users on twitter have begun to express fear and skepticism that the actress may just be another Lady Zamar who’s about to ruin Jub Jub should her allegations be false.
Some blamed the celebrity for not speaking out on the matter when it first happened and wondering why she had to wait till years later to take Legal action.
