Tweezy has revealed how much late Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes paid him as an upcoming producer in the music industry before his death.
The rapper and producer who came into the limelight following his hits “All eyes on me, Run jozi and Sim dope” disclosed that AKA has been his greatest supporter towards the growth of his career as a producer.
Tweezy added that some of the industry legends do not know how much to charge, stating that as a producer one must understand how the system works in other to be able to navigate around it.
“I’m sure that even producers right now are still struggling with this thing where it’s like, ni*ggas don’t know how much to charge, they don’t know how to maneuver those kinds of conversations,” he said.
‘The problem at that time specifically, I don’t know about now. You see as producers, first and foremost you’re coming from a point where you don’t know how the business sense works, in a sense you don’t know how to charge n*ggas, how to make your money”.
The Durban Singer opened up on a past experience he once had with AKA in the early days of his career “Crazy story, there was a time when I and Kiernan were chatting outside, like okay cool, so let’s have the chop now, so how much am I looking at here.”
AKA asked, “As per Tweezy” and I’m like dawg, now my mind I’m like yo, I have never done this, especially on this level and this is Kiernan,” Tweezy said.
” He was like let me give you the 2K, ” Tweezy said.
