South African DJ, Prince Kaybee, found himself in hot water after boasting about his patriotism on Twitter. In a tweet, he proudly proclaimed, “STAND FOR SOMETHING, I am proud to be South African.”
However, his statement quickly backfired when Twitter users reminded him of a previous incident involving the Rugby World Cup final in 2023.

During that event, the music producer openly declared his support for New Zealand’s All Blacks team, which happened to be the rivals of the Springbok team. He even tweeted, “As an All Blacks supporter, this is the first time we’re coming in as the underdog. From the haka to the final whistle, it will be chaos and I love it.”
Unsurprisingly, Kaybee’s contradictory stance led to accusations of fraudulence from Twitter users. One person even quoted Katt Williams, saying, “As the great Katt Williams said: ‘2024 all lies will be exposed!’ You’re a Fraud @PrinceKaybee_SA.”
Defending himself against the accusations, the DJ responded, “I’m not a Fraud, I stand for what I believe in without fear or favor. I am a New Zealand rugby supporter, and guess what, I hate apartheid. Where’s the lie?”

While it’s admirable for individuals to support causes and teams they believe in, it’s crucial to maintain consistency and authenticity. Prince Kaybee’s conflicting allegiances have left many questioning his true loyalty to South Africa. Perhaps it’s time for the DJ to clarify his position and avoid further backlash in the future.
