Controversial entertainment blogger, Musa Khawula, is ending the year 2023 with a bang as he finds himself embroiled in yet another lawsuit.
This time, the lawsuit comes from none other than Shumani “Masala” Lawrence Mulaudzi, who is allegedly dating the popular and award-winning singer, Makhadzi. Mulaudzi is suing Khawula for defamation of character after being labeled a “dangerous thug” on the blogger’s platform.

Khawula, known for his controversial posts and legal battles with celebrities, now faces a lawsuit from someone outside the media and showbiz industry. Mulaudzi, who felt that Khawula had crossed the line, is seeking legal action after being associated with a gang called Tshisole in Thohoyandou.
In a blog post dated December 29, Khawula wrote, “Meet Makhadzi’s dangerous thug boyfriend, Masala Mulaudzi. Masala Mulaudzi is a member of a thug group called Tshisole in Venda. The Tshisole thugs own a place called Jerusalem. Last week, one of the Tshisole thugs called Target was shot and killed while in a meeting.”
Understandably, Mulaudzi was deeply offended by these allegations and wasted no time in consulting his lawyers to take legal action against Khawula. A letter of demand, marked as “extremely urgent” and dated December 30, 2023, was promptly served to Khawula.
The letter states, “It is our client’s instruction that on or about the 29th December 2023, at approximately 14:43, on X (formerly Twitter), you endeavored to intentionally and unlawfully broadcast and publish misleading and defamatory statements concerning our client. You caused to publish defamatory statements.”
Not only has Mulaudzi demanded an apology from Khawula within 48 hours, but he has also taken the matter a step further by opening a criminal case against the blogger.
The case was filed at Camps Bay police station in Cape Town, signaling Mulaudzi’s determination to clear his name and seek justice for the damage caused by Khawula’s allegations.
This latest lawsuit adds to the growing list of legal battles Khawula has faced throughout his career as a controversial blogger. While some may argue that his provocative style generates attention and engagement, it also exposes him to potential legal repercussions.
Celebrities and public figures have become increasingly vigilant in protecting their reputations and are willing to take legal action against those who spread false or damaging information.
As the case unfolds, it will be interesting to see how Khawula defends himself against the defamation claims. Will he be able to provide evidence to support his allegations, or will he be held accountable for spreading misleading and harmful information? Only time will tell.
