South African rapper, Emtee is in the news again and facing criticism online on how he speaks. Since this year, the rapper has received much criticism from his fans and followers who constantly point a finger at his shortcomings and disabilities.
Emtee is known as one who talks about the most difficult moments in his life, especially the ones that transform him either negatively or positively.
Over the past couple of days, a video of the rapper speaking incoherently with a street vendor went viral on social media.
The video generated lots of reactions from social media, with many labeling him a drunk.
While many found the content hilarious, it was also bothersome to see the rap star talk slowly. Most people presumed he must have been under the influence of alcohol.
On the other hand, recall that in July, Emtee shared that he was afraid that he had developed a speech impairment and was slowly becoming a stutterer.
So when people saw the video, many advised him to quit drugs.
Taking to Twitter, Emtee slammed people who criticized how he talks.
“I talk like this cos I choose to. I’m a traveling man. I love languages, slang, and wordplay. I’m a musician, how u think some of these hits came about!? I’m a real songwriter. I’m not the best at shit but Most y’all lyrics are ass,” he wrote.
“I talk slow but I ain’t broke. I don’t have half the money both my sons putting up. That’s on form. I’m the Hustla FRFR. I’m one of the last artists to sell platinum in HARD COPIES. Not streams. Don’t play wimme BOY,” the star added.
Emtee’s friendly relationship with his fans seems to have suddenly broken down completely. Rumors’ suggested that he’s a drug addict and this doesn’t seem to sit well with many of his supporters.
