South African DJ Slique has openly declared his interest to work with Nigerian super star, Burna Boy on a sound mix.
DJ Slique disclosed his desire to work with Nigerian afrobeat singer Burna Boy in an exclusive interview with Robot Boil and Mpho Popps on Popcorn And Cheese podcast. DJ Slique said working with the afro beat singer would help expand his sound in the music industry.

During the live podcast, Mpho asked Dj Slique the people he would love to work with in the industry if given the chance.
“If I can work with Burna Boy, I’ve got this new sound that’s got like Afro and Kwaito mixed. It’s like done well, you know. We’ve had many renditions over the years but I think it’s getting to a point where like it’s nice that it can sound like an Afrobeat but can sound very South African” He responded.
Dj Slique also explained why he thinks Burna boy was the ideal artist to collaborate with on his idea. ” I feel like they came to our sound when they were doing piano, but we can bring it back to their level almost like mix the two you know” Slique said.
He further mentioned that asides looking forward to working with Burna Boy, he also hopes to collaborate with Wiz kid and Tems in the future.

The Dj is one the hottest DJs and producers in South Africa, he made history when he emerged the first hip hop DJ to win an award in South Africa. He also won the “Best Remix” in the year 2017and since then, DJ Slique has created a place for himself in the music industry.
